Our philosophy

With the benefit of our many years of experience in the profession, we are able to easily identify the best frames and lenses available, at all pricing points. As befits our position as leading independent practitioners, we are often able to stock products that simply cannot be found in the High Street retail chains. These smaller manufacturers produce low volume and hand-made ranges for the discerning wearer, and will only deal with a select few practices, guaranteeing cult status. This means that your choice will be exclusive and different. Examples include Tom Davies, Lindberg, Tag-Heuer, Lafont, Oliver Peoples and Paul Smith. We also understand the significance of 'Designer Brands' and ensure that we stock only the very best labels, such as Chanel, Ray-Ban, Tom Ford, Nike and L A Eyeworks.

Equally, or even more, important, are the lenses to go in your frames. Over the last few years we have seen a massive increase in the number of lenses originating from the Far East, usually at very attractive prices. Sadly, this is often the only thing that is attractive about them. When compared to the finest lenses available from Europe, such as Essilor, or Carl Zeiss, they are found to be optically inferior, less transparent, thicker, and less durable. This problem is compounded when the wearer requires a more complicated correction, such as varifocals (progressives) or bifocals.
